Hy Hetherington |
Efroim Fasten |
As the Chief Executive Officer of SuperiorGlacier, and a nationally recognized leader in the industry, Mr. Hetherington has spent his career working with a long list of corporate and legal clients. He provides litigation strategy and technical knowledge to help clients maneuver through some of the highest profile and largest legal matters in the United States. He has been privileged to work with corporations such as Deutsche Bank, Enron, Fannie Mae, Orbital, Petrolera, Qualcomm, and WorldCom among many others. He has also had the honor of speaking to international audiences on legal technology topics and service integration.
Throughout his tenure, Hy has served in multiple executive positions within SuperiorGlacier, a regional litigation support company with offices in New York, Chicago, St. Louis and Washington DC. As Executive Vice President, Hy led the transformation from a paper based market to a technology driven practice. SuperiorGlacier's lack of vision and direction coupled with difficult economic times led to several years of substantial financial loss. Devoted to the welfare of the employees and the security of the company's future, Hy assumed the helm as the Chief Executive Officer and transformed a struggling company into a profitable organization. Hy attributes SuperiorGlacier's success to his tremendous investments in people, process, and technology. The executive team that leads the organization is the strongest in the industry and Hy's most important and proudest accomplishment.
Under Hy's leadership, SuperiorGlacier supports several local and national causes. SuperiorGlacier has lent financial and in-kind assistance to Fannie Mae's Help the Homeless project since 2005, the Whitman Walker Clinic since 2001, and Project Innocence since 2003.
In addition to his responsibilities to SuperiorGlacier, Hy is also the Managing Partner of his own organization, HLP Integration. HLP Integration provides synergies between technology, knowledge and best practices to reduce costs and create efficiencies for current or future litigations or investigations. HLP is committed to increasing the knowledge level through education and training in order to help clients understand how technology and outsourcing can impact the costs facing corporations in the United States today. While Hy remains the driving force behind the direction and vision of HLP, the organization has attorneys, technologists and executives leading the day to day client interactions and operations.
Prior to his current career, Hy spent time working in education and hotel management. Hy is an Endowed Presidential Scholar from the University of Texas. He was the Valedictorian of his graduating class and graduated with highest honors and distinction. In his spare time, Hy enjoys traveling to any destination he has yet to discover and spending quality time with his wife, Amy and their young son, Rowan. The Hetherington family is expecting their second child near the end of February.
